TDR sperm whale and pilot whale special mission

NEW from 28 April until 11 May

This special mission aims at putting TDR (Time Depth Recorder) on sperm whales and pilot whales. TDRs are diving recorder devices that we attach on the animals with a sucker. It will detach itself after a few hours so that we can collect the information recorded.

This mission is 2 weeks long and a financial participation of 1200 € is asked. 400 € deposit are to be included with the application form and the balance will have to be paid before your arrival. This price includes the same advantages as for a normal trip. The chances that the boat trips will start very early or end late at night are very high as these are probably the times when pilot whales feed. This activity hasn't been observed yet with that species in the Strait of Gibraltar. So come, as this mission is open only to 2 research volunteers, and join us for this amazing scientific mission that will unfold great mysteries about the sperm whales and the pilot whales.
