Databases

This part of the site is a work in progress. Four databases will be accessible on CIRCE's site.

1. The photo-identification databases (with the most characteristic photo of each of the photographed individuals, as well as the observation list per year).

NEW: The bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) catalogue from the Strait of Gibraltar

The killer whale (Orcinus orca) catalogue from the Strait of Gibraltar.

The sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) catalogue from the Strait of Gibraltar.

The pilot whale (Globicephala melas) catalogue from the Strait of Gibraltar.

2. The acoustic databases (containing extracts of records (cries and whistles) together with the date and place of recording).

3. The databases regarding the available tissues, put to the disposal of the scientific community to be analysed.

4. The databases of observations at sea (date, position, specie, number) acquired during CIRCE's field trips, or arising from existing data bases, but not yet computerised. The original sources of the data will be cited.
